There has been a lot of buzz lately regarding the rap duo Clipse and albums being cooked by both Pusha T and Malice. Hip hop community at large has been waiting to hear new verses from the two brothers, and now, a fire verse is finally here courtesy of John Legend.
The singer recently premiered a song with Pusha T and Malice’s verse while on the Joe & Jada podcast, where he was able to gauge the excited reactions from both Jadakiss and Fat Joe. The song is called ‘Bodies On The Floor,’ and is an exciting confluence of genres that seem equal part ballad and hip hop.
Pusha T raps in his heartbreak zone; from comparing chasing rainbows to Skittles and splitting down a house from the middle, the verse is littered with vivid imagery and metaphors that make Pusha T the clinical lyricist he is. John Legend’s bridge and chorus is also heart wrenching, as he laments and wails about not wanting to fight anymore. Check out the snippet below!
