John Legend has been gone for a while, locked in with none other than Pharrell, who has produced his upcoming album in its entirety. To give fans a taste of it, the artist has released a new song called ‘Daylight’ serving as the lead single.
The album is called Muse and will hit stores on October 23rd this year. The two worked on the album in Paris at the Louis Vuitton headquarters. The album supposedly sounds nothing like the two artists’ work thus far, and by their own admission, taps into a “Black James Bond aesthetic, but with a modern backbeat at its foundation.”
The project is a step away from Legend’s go to mechanism of piano ballads that make the soul sway into a more experimental territory. Check out the lead single ‘Daylight’ below!
