Dahi Releases New Song ‘How To Pray’ Feat. Kendrick Lamar & Amber Mark: Watch

Dahi got everyone excited when he announced his latest album, Black Boy (Alternative). Aside from fabulous production, one of the primary reasons was also the opportunity to hear Kendrick Lamar again in his introspective, soulful zone.

Boy did he deliver. Kendrick Lamar can be heard alongside Amber Mark on the song ‘How To Pray’ navigating things like trust, vulnerability and love. It’s not a traditional hip hop beat and that’s the area Kendrick’s craft thrives in, pushing the sound of what all rap can be.

The video also has a unique treatment; divided right in the middle, with Dahi searching for similarity in dissimilar things. From a guitar fret board alongside the long body of a snake, to a guitar’s body alongside that of a woman, the video puts focus on similarity of design, finding commonality.

The video is monochrome, and thus shifts the focus from color to shapes and details, light and shadow. Check it out below!
