It hasn’t been the best year for J. Cole fans after he took his fair share of damage in the Kendrick and Drake beef, but over the past couple of weeks, they’ve quietly been having a great time with the rapper’s new Inevitable audio series, where he peels back even more layers from throughout his career. With The Come Up and The Warm Up finally making it to DSPs recently, tonight it’s finally time for Friday Night Lights to hit streaming services.
This came at a time when J. Cole was searching for a single to release his debut album, but could feel his buzz dwindling. He sacrificed a lot of music that he wanted to be on Cole World: The Sideline Story to put this out and it’s arguably his best body of work.
You can stream it below. Every song is there except ‘Looking For Trouble’, the bonus track.
