Jelly Roll used to be a struggling rapper but he’s now a successful Country artist, putting numbers on the board.
The artist, who has earned multiple hits on Country charts, as well as Grammy nominations and the Country Music Association’s new artist of the year award, released his latest album Beautifully Broken this past Friday. The 22 song album features guest appearances from Wiz Khalifa, MGK, and more while the deluxe version has additional guests like Russ and Skylar Grey.
According to HDD, the album is set to move 134k copies in the first week which is currently just about 5k more copies than first week projection for Rod Wave’s album Last Lap.
With the two artists head to head for the number 1 spot on the Billboard 200 this week, it could be an interesting showdown. Stay tuned for updated numbers end of this week.
Speaking of first week sales numbers, GloRilla’s album GLORIOUS is aiming for a #5 debut with 60k in first week.
