Kendrick Lamar Creates Hip Hop History with ‘The Pop Out’ Concert on Juneteenth: Round Up

Kendrick Lamar inarguably created hip hop history this Juneteenth, all the way from his home city of Los Angeles. Live from the historically legendary Kia Forum in Inglewood, Kendrick bought out artists and celebrities back to back in a two hour celebration of the city (and well, of Drake’s dreadful defeat).

The set kicked off with DJ Hed taking the stage first and bringing out young emcees like Remble, Ray Vaughn from TDE, Cuzzos, Jay Worthy, Westside Boogie, and more, including the legendary Tommy the Clown, who came out with a dance crew that meant business.

As did Mustard and friends, who were up next and comprised of names like YG, Dom Kennedy, Steve Lacy, Tyler The Creator, and more. The deadly blow, however, was Kendrick himself, rocking a blood-red hoodie and rapping in prescription glasses as the crowd went up in a frenzy.
