After pleading guilty to a federal drug charge last summer, today Fetty Wap got some bad news.
The NY Times is reporting that while at the federal court inCentral Islip, N.Y. appearing in front of Judge Joanna Seybert, Fetty Wap was sentenced to six years in prison for drug trafficking. This sentence is one year longer than the minimum sentence of five years that Fetty asked the Judge for in a letter and prosecutors actually wanted the sentence to be longer, arguing that the rapper used his music to glamourise the drug trade on ‘Trap Queen’, even going as far as to point to the fact that children appeared in the music video for the record.
This is sad news all round and a waste of a career that was booming in 2015.
